Manchester United legend Robin van Persie is on the verge of rejoining his boyhood club Feyenoord and one of Erik ten Hag’s favourites is set to join him, according to reports.. The former striker began his coaching career in 2020 at the Rotterdam club where he held a number of roles. Working with current Liverpool manager Arne Slot, he became the forward coach at Feyenoord before becoming technical coach and then transitioning to a management role with the youth team.. This form has led Feyenoord to come calling and, according to The Athletic, the deal is set to be completed soon after a compensation package was agreed between the clubs. It is understood that paperwork is being drafted to commit Van Persie to the Rotterdam club until 2027.. Joining Van Persie on this move to Feyenoord is believed to be former United assistant manager Rene Hake. Before joining United last summer, the 53-year-old had been the manager of Go Ahead Eagles and he holds plenty of experience in the Eredivisie..
