Tottenham Hotspur supporters will be protesting against their ownership on Sunday when they take on Manchester United in North London.. Spurs fans have grown increasingly angry with chairman Daniel Levy and the running of their club. Tottenham currently sit two points and a place behind United in the Premier League table and were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend.. Now fan group ‘Change for Tottenham’ is calling on Spurs supporters to join them in a protest this weekend to attempt to force change in the boardroom. In a tweet entitled: ‘Time for change. Time to stand up. Time to join us in the protest,’ details of their actions this weekend.. The afternoon will start with a peaceful march to the stadium before supporters congregate in the concourse pre-match to protest against Levy. Fans are then asked to clap the players off, no matter the result, before conducting a sit-in protest at full-time.. United are no stranger to protests against their owners having conducted their own sit-ins and marches against the Glazers in the past. Mass protests have been rarer since Ineos founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired a minority stake in the club.. However, Ratcliffe has proven himself to be unpopular in recent months due to his cost-cutting measures and decision to dispose of the concession price bracket for remaining tickets this season. This week, the British billionaire caused more controversy after it was announced that another 100 jobs will be axed at Old Trafford.. This follows 250 redundancies last autumn at United. Kick off between United and Spurs is at 4:30pm on Sunday with the march against Levy starting at 3pm on the crossroads of Lordship Lane and High Road..
