Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a playful shout-out to his son Patrick’s nude scene on The White Lotus.
Patrick plays Saxon Ratliff, the son of a wealthy Southern family, in the third season of the hotly-tipped HBO show, which is set at exclusive The White Lotus resort chain in Thailand.
The actor, 31, attended the Los Angeles premiere of the drama with his family on Monday – fiancée Abby Champion, father Arnold, mother Maria Shriver, sister Katherine and her husband Chris Pratt, sister Christina, and brother Christopher.
Arnold, 77, shared a congratulatory message on Instagram after watching his son’s performance.
“I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate Patrick Schwarzenegger at the White Lotus Season 3 premiere. What a show!” he wrote alongside photos with his son at the premiere.
The former Governor of California then reminded fans of his own nude scene in his 1984 film, The Terminator.
“I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” he joked.
“Don’t miss it this Sunday – trust me,” the former professional bodybuilder concluded his post.
Patrick wrote on his own account: “White Lotus premier!! What a surreal moment! Dream come true getting to watch the pilot with my family. Mike White & the rest of the cast I love you!”
The trailer for Mike White’s Emmy-winning series, featuring a whole new cast of characters, was released in December.
The satirical comedy-drama follows the mishaps of the wealthy, often snobby guests and weary employees at the luxury resort, The White Lotus.
Patrick appears alongside Isaacs and Parker Posey, who play his parents Tim and Victoria, while Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola portray Saxon’s siblings.
In the trailer, his character was seen shirtless while whirling a woman around in his arms at what looks like a party.
A familiar face returning to the cast is Natasha Rothwell as masseuse Belinda, who popped up in the first season as the therapist-slash-confidante of Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya.
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood play a mysterious traveller and his chirpy girlfriend, and Lalisa Manobal – aka Lisa from K-pop group Blackpink – stars as Mook, one of the resort staff.
