Elon Musk’s son made a rare appearance at the White House press conference on Tuesday.
Reporters asking Mr Musk questions also turned attention to his four-year-old, named X Æ A-Xii, who was captured making faces as he clung to his father’s shoulders. And, at one point, Musk’s son was also seen picking his nose.
X Æ A-Xii is one of Musk’s 12 children, including Nevada who died during infanthood. The world’s richest man and supporter of the incoming US president, Donald Trump, has even gone as far as building a giant condo to house his many children with various women, and has reportedly tried to establish the unusual family set-up because he is allegedly still trying to father yet more children with different women.
Musk, a prominent supporter of the incoming US president, Donald Trump, has allegedly gone so far as to build a giant condo to accommodate his growing family. He has reportedly created this unconventional set-up to continue his mission to father more children with different women.
To date, Musk has had 12 children with three women, including his firstborn, Nevada, who tragically passed away in infancy.
The Tesla chief executive and owner of the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), concluded with a hopeful message: “I hope you have big families, and congrats to those who already do!”

Nevada Alexander Musk (2002-2002) — with Justine Wilson
Musk’s first wife was Canadian author Justine Wilson, whom he married in January 2000. Their first child, Nevada, tragically passed away at just 10 weeks old from sudden infant death syndrome in 2002.
Following this loss, the couple chose to pursue IVF treatment.

As a result of the IVF treatment, Wilson gave birth to twins, Griffin and Vivian, in April 2004.
Vivian, who was originally named Xavier Alexander Musk, came out as transgender in recent years and requested to change her last name from her father’s to her mother’s. The reason she gave was “gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form”.
In 2020, Musk publicly stated on Twitter that he “absolutely supports trans,” though he expressed frustration with the use of multiple pronouns, calling it an “aesthetic nightmare”.

After the birth of their twins, Wilson and Musk, who were married for eight years, went on to have triplets. The three boys were born in January 2006 using IVF.
Justine, now 52, has spoken publicly about her deep love for her children, saying: “Almost all of my non-work waking hours are spent with my boys, and they are the love of my life.”
However, her relationship with Musk was problematic and they divorced in 2008.
In 2010, Wilson wrote an article for Marie Claire, describing herself as a “starter wife” and discussing their unhealthy relationship. She revealed that during their first dance at their wedding, Musk told her he was the “alpha” in the relationship and even said he would fire her if she ever worked for him.
X AE A-XII Musk (2020) — with Grimes
Musk began dating Canadian pop star Grimes, also known as Claire Boucher, in May 2018, after divorcing British actress Talulah Riley twice and briefly dating actress Amber Heard.
In May 2020, Grimes, aged 34, gave birth to a baby boy, whom they initially named X Æ A-12. However, California law disallowed this combination of characters, because it included symbols not part of the English language. The parents then modified the name to X AE A-XII but eventually simplified it to “X”.
In an interview in July 2020, Musk said he was taking a more passive role in parenting, explaining: “Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now.” He described her as “one of the most unusual people I’ve ever met.”
He added that he would take on a more active role as the child grows up.

Techno ‘Tau’ Mechanicus Musk (2022) — with Grimes
Grimes and Musk also have a child named Techno “Tau” Mechanicus, born via surrogate in 2022.
In an interview in March 2022, Grimes revealed that the pair had rekindled their relationship, though she described it as “fluid.” In a Vanity Fair cover story, she said: “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time… We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”
“This is the best it’s ever been,” she said of their relationship. “We just need to be free.”
However, shortly after the article was published, Grimes tweeted that they had broken up.

Musk’s twins with Shivon Zilis were born just one month before Exa, whom he had with Grimes. Named Strider and Azure, the twins arrived in July 2022 via surrogate.
Zilis has been closely connected to Musk for several years. She is the operations and special projects director at Neuralink, the neurotechnology company where Musk is co-chief executive. Neuralink is developing cutting-edge devices aimed at treating neurological disorders.
In April 2022, Musk and Zilis petitioned to change the twins’ names so they would bear their father’s last name.
