Manchester City look set to avoid the prospect of extra time and penalties as they try to secure their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.. City are currently beating Leyton Orient 2-1 at Brisbane Road. The home side took a shock lead in the first half as Tottenham loanee Jamie Donley’s incredible 45-yard effort struck the crossbar before deflecting off the back of Stefan Ortega and into the net.. City struggled to find a way past a stubborn Orient defence but eventually found the breakthrough as Rico Lewis’ effort hit new signing Abdukodir Khusanov and bounced past Orient goalkeeper Josh Keeley. Kevin De Bruyne scored with just 10 minutes remaining to make it 2-1.. If City see the game out they will be in the hat for the fifth round draw on Monday. However, another Orient goal would see the game head into extra time.. Should the game go to extra time and a winner not be found in the additional 30 minutes then the two teams will take part in a penalty shootout.
