KSI makes major next boxing opponent announcement after Wayne Bridge fight withdrawal

KSI will square off against Dillon Danis in the boxing ring on March 29 in Manchester, after Wayne Bridge, a former Premier League footballer, pulled out of their scheduled match. The initial bout between the two was planned for 2023, but Danis, who is a former colleague of Conor McGregor, withdrew only 10 days before the event. He went on to compete against Logan Paul later that year, but the match concluded abruptly in the last round after Danis made a takedown attempt. KSI, who transitioned from being a YouTuber to a boxer, hasn’t fought since losing to Tommy Fury in 2023. The internet sensation intended to have a boxing match against Slim and Anthony Taylor simultaneously last year, but had to pull out due to an injury. Having completely recuperated, the 31-year-old star from Misfits is preparing for a hectic 2025 in the boxing ring. KSI, whose actual name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, was set to face Bridge, but Bridge pulled out after KSI made provocative comments regarding his ex-girlfriend and purported infidelity with ex-teammate John Terry. The two faced off at Misfits 20 last month, where KSI swiftly took a dig at Bridge, questioning, “Aren’t you the one who let John Terry sleep with your ex?” Bridge replied, “You want to head there immediately, do you?” KSI shot back: “I’m fairly certain that’s your reputation.” According to the Mirror, a member of the Sidemen began chanting ‘Vanessa woah, Vanessa woah’.
