Alejandro Garnacho to Napoli transfer update as Man United prepare for ‘new bid’

Manchester United have been warned to expect a new offer from Napoli for Alejandro Garnacho before the end of the January transfer window.. Earlier this week, MEN Sport confirmed that United had rejected a £40m bid for Garnacho from the Serie A club as they look to strengthen their attack. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left Napoli this week for £59m and Antonio Conte is keen to replace him with the Argentinian.. However, United are sticking firmly to their valuation of the forward. They would like an offer in excess of £60m before agreeing to sell Garnacho in the January transfer window.. In the meantime, the Manchester Evening News understands that Garnacho is not proactively searching for an exit despite being dropped for the clash at Manchester City and having to adapt to a new 3-4-3 system being implemented by Ruben Amorim. Despite this, Corriere Dello Sport understands Napoli have not given up hope of signing Garnacho.. The Italian outfit claim a bid in the region of £50m is expected to be launched soon to try and test the resolve of the Reds. However, it claims that United will reject this offer too as they look to stick to their valuation of the forward.. Garnacho’s sale would be particularly valuable for the Reds as he is considered to be ‘pure profit’ in terms of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). United paid a nominal fee for the Argentine when he signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020.. After being marked as untouchable in the summer, Garnacho has since seen that status revoked as United look to strengthen their squad.. Try MUFC Pro NOW for free.
