Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has not allowed his recent injury to dampen his spirits as he enjoyed the Reds’ enhanced performances, celebrating their FA Cup win against Arsenal on social media. The former Chelsea player has faced several injuries since transferring from Stamford Bridge at the beginning of last season. Consequently, Mount has played only 32 times for United in all competitions, with many of those appearances as a substitute. His most recent injury occurred during the win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last month. While the game was ongoing, the midfielder fell to the ground after visibly injuring his thigh muscle. Ruben Amorim provided an update to the media regarding his condition, stating: “[He will be out for] Several weeks.” I’m not sure of the exact date, but it will take a while, and that’s all there is to it. “It’s just a part of football, you keep going.” With Mount sidelined, he had to watch Sunday’s impressive win over Arsenal from home. Despite being down to ten men, United took the Gunners to penalties after a strong defensive effort frustrated the North London team. The Reds’ solid defending eventually paid off as Joshua Zirkzee secured the win from the penalty spot, finishing 5-3 in the shootout. On Monday, Mount expressed his joy over his teammates’ performance, celebrating their victory on social media. He posted on his Instagram story, “Still buzzing about this game,” along with a photo of his teammates celebrating at the Emirates Stadium. Mason Mount shared this message on Instagram after Manchester United’s FA Cup victory against Arsenal. Mount will be hoping to be fit for the fourth round of the FA Cup when United faces Leicester City.
