Marcus Rashford has turned down three offers from Saudi Pro League teams, which were as high as £35 million a year, as he faces uncertainty regarding his future at Manchester United. He has also dismissed the idea of joining any Turkish teams, as he aims to focus on his career with the 2026 World Cup in 18 months in mind. Manchester United is open to selling Rashford during the winter transfer window after he expressed a desire for a “new challenge” in a recent interview. The 27-year-old currently makes £325,000 a week at United, and his salary may complicate a potential transfer to a prominent club this month. United’s head coach Ruben Amorim left Rashford out of four consecutive matchday squads but brought him back for the 2-0 home loss to Newcastle on Monday night. Rashford was not used as a substitute. Since he talked about his future in an interview with journalist Henry Winter 15 days ago, United has lost all four of their matches and has not scored in their last three league games. Rashford is eager to be called back to the England squad under new coach Thomas Tuchel, as he last played for the national team in a friendly against Brazil in March of last year. “That still excites me,” Rashford said about playing in a World Cup. “It’s competing for your nation in the largest tournament globally.” I’ve been able to do it in the past, and it was an amazing experience. “If I have the chance again, I’ll seize it wholeheartedly.” United are willing to allow Rashford to go on loan if they get a satisfactory offer from a club that shows interest. United would need a loan fee and for most of Rashford’s wages to be paid. If Rashford departs this month, United will look for a replacement for the winger. Rashford is tied for second place as United’s top scorer this season, while the team’s goal difference in the Premier League stands at -5. Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan last January, with the loan fee increasing to €7.5 million. Sancho was removed from the United team by manager Erik ten Hag, while Rashford has been practicing regularly with the group.
