The White Lotus star Jason Isaacs has revealed the grim side of filming in Thailand for series three of the hit HBO series.
Isaacs confessed that it could get a bit whiffy due to dozens of actors being “crammed into a villa” without air-conditioning.
“Nobody should be that jealous of me, it wasn’t a holiday,” the Harry Potter star told hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp on The One Show.
“40 men and women, crammed into a villa with the air conditioning off. It’s over 100 degrees (45 Celcius). We’re all covered in makeup and there’s lights and you’re there all day. It’s quite gamey, is what I’m saying.”
Jones looked taken aback as she and Kemp laughed and repeated, “Gamey?”
Isaacs explained that the cast was “in each other’s pockets” for most of the time spent filming.
Her added jokingly: “Most people got on with each other, most of the time. But there were alliances formed and broken.
“There’s an off-screen White Lotus as much as there’s an on-screen White Lotus, just with hopefully fewer body bags.”
Isaacs plays the head of the wealthy Ratcliffe family in the third series, alongside his wife Victoria (Parker Posey), son Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), daughter Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), and youngest son Lochlan (Sam Nivola).

Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, seemed to be enjoying the backlash as he retweeted several posts about his “weird” scenes and even added laughing emojis.
The star retweeted a fan’s post that read, “I want to kill [Saxon] with a hammer,” and added three laughing emojis.
Schwarzenegger also retweeted a fan who declared: “The Ratcliffe family is so weird. I’m scared.”
