Ruben Amorim has been impressed with the sound of the training at Manchester United this week(Image: Carl Recine/Getty Images.). Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United have taken a step forward in training this week – because it even sounds different at Carrington.. United have had another free midweek to prepare for the trip to Goodison Park on Saturday and they enjoyed a team bonding night out on Wednesday, going bowling in Altrincham before a meal at a Brazilian restaurant.. But Amorim is more concerned with what he is seeing in training and he is sure the squad have taken a step forward in learning his methods this week, with his ears providing as much reassuarance as his eyes.. The head coach knows the next challenge is to translate that training ground improvement to competitive matches. United have won just four of their first 14 Premier League games under Amorim and have lost eight of their last 12 in the league.. “For me it’s more important in training, what I see in training is they are improving and creating relationships,” he said. “Even the sounds of the training is different. We have to use that in the game and see it in the game and take that step. We are bonding and we understand the way we want to play, but in the game we struggle a lot.”. Asked on what he was hearing at Carrington to give him such belief, Amorim said: “The sound is when you making an exercise you feel the sound, people are talking and asking for the ball and give directions. If you spend your life as a football player even the sound of the training is important.”. Amorim has been desperate for more free weeks at Carrington to help drill his 3-4-2-1 system into the squad and United have now had three successive weeks of just one game, allowing those extra sessions to get his methods across.. Training ground improvement is yet to translate into matches and Amorim admits that he is seeing “more problems than solutions” during matches.. “What I feel is that sometimes we don’t feel improvement in the team but then some games are more difficult and we see we can play and create situations,” he said.. “In this moment, you can see when you watch the game more problems than solutions. I feel in some games that things are there, but we have to be consistent.”. Everton will provide another stern test for Amorim’s side. They have been rejuvenated under David Moyes, who has won four of his six Premier League games in charge, as well as earning a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.. When you watch the game you feel the confidence and belief are there. It’s going to be a really hard game.”
