Man City agree transfer as loan move confirmed

Manchester City winger Kayky has joined Brazilian club Bahia on loan.. The 21-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan in the Netherlands with Sparta Rotterdam but struggled for regular football with the wideman making only seven appearances across all competitions.. The Manchester Evening News reported earlier this week that the Brazilian was set to be recalled and then loaned out again and he has now completed a move to his homeland until the summer.. Kayky is one of six City players on loan overseas – the maximum allowed under regulations. That meant a loan exit for James McAtee to any of the Bundesliga clubs interested in the 22-year-old was not feasible for City in the January transfer window, although Pep Guardiola insisted he wanted to retain the midfielder.. City allowed captain Kyle Walker to join AC Milan earlier this month on loan with an option to buy and the England international joined Yan Couto, Juma Bah, Maximo Perrone, Issa Kabore and Kayky as senior players out on loan.. Kayky has featured just twice for City since his arrival in 2021, coming off the bench in the closing stages of FA Cup wins over Swindon Town and a Premier League victory over Norwich City in early 2022.. He has had loan spells back in Brazil with Bahia, where he suffered a serious injury in July 2023, and at Pacos Ferreira in Portugal. He joined City from Fluminense and is under contract at the Etihad until 2026.
