Manchester United have been handed a double suspension blow for the weekend’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United, with Manuel Ugarte forced to miss the match.. United took on Wolves at Molineux on Boxing day, as they looked to bounce back from defeat against AFC Bournemouth. With the score at 0-0 early in the second half, the task was made more difficult when Bruno Fernandes was shown a second yellow card.. As well as missing the rest of the match against Wolves, it means that the midfielder will also be suspended for the home clash against Newcastle on Monday night (8pm kick-off).. A few minutes later, Ruben Amorim was dealt another blow. Midfielder Ugarte was shown a yellow card for delaying the restart afer Wolves were awarded a free kick.. The caution was Ugarte’s fifth of the season, meaning that he will be forced to miss Monday’s game at Old Trafford through suspension.. With United down to 10 men, Wolves took advantage just before the hour mark. Matheus Cunha scored straight from a corner to give Vitor Pereira’s side the lead, despite arguments from Andre Onana.. Hwang Hee-chan then added another in stoppage time for the home side as United pushed forward to try and force an equaliser. Ugarte has been a regular for United under Amorim so far, starting the majority of games alongside Fernandes.. It the loss of both players will leave the head coach with some big selection decisions to make for the game against Newcastle. Christian Eriksen replaced Ugarte against Wolves, and could be an option to come in.. United could also potentially return to youngster Toby Collyer..
