However, even prior to that standout performance, Amorim had allegedly stated that the Norway international ought to stay with the club. However, it appears that the same sentiment is not shared for Joshua Zirkzee, as the outlet states that Amorim is actively working to facilitate a move for the summer signing away from United. Following his appearance as a substitute in the coach’s debut match at Ipswich, the Netherlands international was notably absent in the midweek game, not being used despite being on the bench. This situation arises amidst reports that Viktor Gyokeres is eager to join United to reconnect with his former Sporting coach, even with interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to have an interest in the Swedish international. Amorim has already dismissed the possibility of bringing players back to Lisbon during the winter transfer window, but he did not rule it out for the summer.
