Manchester United has had discussions with Jorge Mendes regarding the possible acquisition of Sporting winger Geovany Quenda. Mendes’s Gestifute agency is negotiating on behalf of Quenda’s agent, Igor Campedelli, who represents the 17-year-old player. United have been monitoring Quenda since he debuted for Sporting in August. According to another source, Mendes has acquired fifty percent of Quenda’s image rights. United has yet to submit a formal bid for Quenda, but people at Sporting anticipate that the club will pursue the Portuguese international next year. Manchester City, Liverpool, and RB Leipzig have also shown interest in Quenda. Mendes plans to meet with more clubs in the upcoming weeks to find the best option for Quenda, who now appears likely to leave Sporting next year.
