Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, indecent assault and sexual assault.

The 68-year-old entered his pleas at Southwark Crown Court on Monday after being accused of committing offences against seven women between 1983 and 2016.

Westwood has pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.

The former DJ stood in the glass dock with his hands clasped in front of him when he was arraigned on all 15 counts.

The court heard that three of the alleged indecent assault offences allegedly took place at the BBC Studios in 1996.

Westwood, who arrived at court wearing a black hooded coat over a maroon shirt and black trousers, also spoke to confirm his name on Monday.
