Stranger Things may be coming to an end next month, but star Sadie Sink already has a new role lined up. The Max Mayfield actress will be making her West End debut alongside _Hamnet’_s Noah Jupe, in a new production of Romeo & Juliet.

The play – directed by Robert Icke – will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London next year, telling Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy. For now, it’s only Sadie and Noah who have been announced, but further details about casting should follow soon.

Icke (whose production of Oedipus with Lesley Manville and Mark Strong saw him take home an Olivier Award) said, ‘This is one of the plays I’ve returned to again and again, and the opportunity to tackle it in London with two wonderful young actors is hugely exciting.

‘It’s an explosive play, filled with heat and life, which confronts us with the fragility of our lives and the momentousness of every last second. I can’t wait to get started.’

When will Sadie hit London’s West End? Who will be joining her onstage? And where can you buy tickets to Romeo & Juliet? We’ve got the answers.

When is Romeo & Juliet coming to London’s West End?

Romeo & Juliet will be in London for a limited run at the Harold Pinter Theatre, taking place between 16 March and 6 June 2026. Performances will take place Monday through Saturday at 7.30pm, with an extra performance every Wednesday at 2.30pm.

Describing the play as a ‘timeless tragic tale of love and innocence,’ a synopsis reads, ‘In Verona, in the height of summer, two young people meet at a party. The rest is tragedy’.

Who is in the West End play of Romeo & Juliet?

So far, only Sadie and Noah have been confirmed – with Sadie playing Juliet, and Noah her star-crossed lover Romeo.

Sadie Sink, 23, is an American actor, best known for starring in Stranger Things, The Whale and the Fear Street films. Romeo & Juliet isn’t the only thing on her roster for next year, with Sadie also set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2026’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Opening up about joining the cast, she told Hollywood Reporter, ‘I was a Broadway kid, so I’ve always dreamed about doing a show in the West End. To get to go that in one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays under Rob’s direction with Noah will be such an exciting challenge. London theatre has this incredible energy, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.’

Noah, 20, is a British actor best known for starring in films including A Quiet Place, and TV series The Undoing and The Night Manager. He’s the son of filmmaker Chris Jupe and actor Katy Cavanagh (Coronation Street). His younger brother brother Jacobi, 12, is also an actor, with both Jupe brothers set to appear in the upcoming film Hamnet.

Opening up about joining the cast of Romeo & Juliet, Noah said, ‘Theatre is something I’ve always been intrigued by. It seems like such a challenging and rewarding experience for an actor. So I was very excited to hear about this project.’
