Over the years, we’ve been treated to more than one celebrity power couple – from the likes of Kylie and Timothee, Taylor and Travis, and of course, Alex Scott and Jess Glynne.
It’s this duo in particular who we’re learning a little bit more about following Alex’s stint on ITV’s_I’m A Celebrity._ Fans wondering whether wedding bells were on the horizon for Jess and Alex were left thrilled following the presenter’s recent comments on the show, in which Alex told campmate Ruby Waxthat she’ll one day marry Jess.
‘I think before [Jess], I never knew happiness,’ Alex explained. ‘She approached me in one of those boujie places in London, the private membership clubs. I was in there with my friends and she just walked up to me. It was really ballsy and I was like, I like your ballsiness, and then the spark was just instant and then, yeah… We fell madly in love.’
When asked by Ruby whether marriage might be on the cards, Alex said, ‘I will get married to her. Just waiting for her to ask, Rubes! I know my forever is with her.’
Shortly after Alex’s comments, Jess sent fans into a spiral after taking to her Instagram stories with the simple line, ‘I better go get a ring.’

Before diving into their timeline, let’s clarify who Alex Scott and Jess Glynne are. Alex, 39, is a former England footballer (2004 – 2017) and sports pundit. She’s played for teams including Arsenal and Birmingham City, and has since presented on shows including Soccer AM and Sky Sports’ Super Sunday.
As for singer/songwriter Jess Glynne, 36, she’s best known for songs such as Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be,’ and ‘Hold My Hand’ (yes, of the Jet2holidays variety…)

Early 2023: First Meeting at Chiltern Firehouse
At some point in early 2023, Jess and Alex met at a club in London (with some reports suggesting it was celeb hotspot Chiltern Firehouse.) As Alex revealed on I’m A Celebrity, Jess approached her.
May 2023: Alex and Jess attend panel talk
The couple kept their budding romance on the down low at first, only stepping out together in May 2023 at Advertising Week Europe. While there, they both spoke on a panel about their careers and creativity.
July 2023: Wimbledon debut
By July 2023, Jess and Alex were spotted together in the audience at day two of Wimbledon, seated next to each other in matching cream outfits. The rest of the summer saw some more lowkey public appearances, being pictured enjoying a pub lunch in North West London ahead of the World Cup, as well as attending a Coco de Mer party.

October 2023: Relationship confirmed
It wasn’t until October 2023 that Jess and Alex’s relationship was officially confirmed. A friend of the couple revealed to The Sun, ‘Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon, but they’re officially an item now and seem really happy. They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect for their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines.’
‘It’s still early days for them, but they’ve met one another’s mates and everyone is super-happy for them.’
That same month, Alex and Jess made their official hard launch at David and Victoria Beckham’s documentary afterparty.
January 2024: Mexican getaway
The pair kicked off the new year by jetting off for some winter sun, sharing snaps on Instagram from their holiday in Tulum, Mexico.
After landing back in the UK, Jess and Alex beat the holiday blues by attending the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Fifth Round match between Arsenal and Manchester City in early February, where Alex was working as a presenter.
March 2024: Red carpet PDA
After having maintained an impressively low profile before this point, Alex and Jess delivered some PDA at the BRIT Awards after-party (although it was reported that the pair had avoided each other on the red carpet.) They shared another kiss at the amfAR Cannes Gala 30th edition cocktail party two months later, with fans dubbing them couple goals.

May 2024: Alex opens up
In May 2024, Alex finally gave an insight into her relationship with Jess while speaking to Women’s Health UK. Admitting she was ‘in this bubble at the moment,’ the presenter gushed, ‘I am more open to being accepting and being more vulnerable, and I’m absolutely enjoying this stage.’
‘I’m enjoying being like, okay, I’m just going to roll with this. I think before I was very walls up. All those walls have come down.’
The following month, Alex once again gushed about Jess during an interview with The Times. Speaking about her daily routine, she explained, ‘I wake up next to my partner Jess, who has become the same person as me over the past year and a half. She can see what going to the gym does for me mentally, so she’ll do the same.’
November 2025: Jess supports Alex on I’m A Celebrity
Ahead of her I’m A Celebrity stint, Alex admitted that her time on the show would be ‘a test for the both of us.’ Saying what she’ll miss most about Jess, she explained, ‘Her cooking pasta for me is absolutely everything. Those quiet moments when your life’s a hundred miles per hour – just coming home and she loves to cook, and we love to sit and have a glass of wine.’

As for Jess, she’s certainly cheering her girlfriend on from afar. Posting a video of her in a recording studio, the singer shared, ‘It’s flipping cold today. Anyone else frozen to the core? And I’ve got no one to cuddle.’

Who have Alex Scott and Jess Glynne dated before?
Before Jess, Alex was linked to several familiar faces. She once spoke about going on a date with Coronation Street‘s Sam Robertson – who has played Adam Barlow since 2004. In her book How (Not) To Be Strong, Alex also revealed that she secretly dated footballer Kelly Smith from 2005 to 2015.
As for Jess, it seems Alex is her first relationship in the public eye!
