Selling Sunset is back for season nine, bringing our favourite Oppenheim Group realtors back onto our screens. From a fresh agent to Emma’s new boyfriend, the Netflix reality show is already gearing up to be a great season – and one of the show’s most talked about moments has come from realtor Bre Tiesi.
Having joined the show in season six, Bre, 34, has set firm boundaries when it comes to her private life. The star is in an open relationship with 45-year-old comedian Nick Cannon (who just so happens to have other girlfriends too).
When opening up to new OG Group agent Sandra Vergara, Bre found herself shutting down comments about her boyfriend. During their chat, Sandra asked ‘Doesn’t he have like 20 kids?’ (Nick is father to 12 children, including three-year-old son Legendary, who he shares with Bre.)
The focus then shifted to Nick’s previous relationship with Mariah Carey, who he was married to for six years. Referring to Nick as ‘Mariah Carey’s ex,’ Sandra asked Bre if she’d ever met the ‘We Belong Together’ singer. Bre responded, ‘I try not to talk about my religion. I don’t talk about pronouns or Mariah. Just for the future, those are the things that are my no’s.’

Who has Bre Tiesi Dated?
2008 – 2011: Nick Hogan
Long before Selling Sunset was a twinkle in Netflix’s eye, Bre was in a longtime relationship with Nick Hogan. Nick is best known for being the son of Hulk Hogan, a famous WWE wrestler. Dating for three years, Nick once revealed that the pair were even ‘tossing the idea of marriage around for a while.’

Opening up on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast earlier this year, Bre recalled how her relationship with reality TV star Nick ended. ‘I outgrew him,’ she explained. ‘I literally woke up one morning and made him breakfast, and we sat down, and I literally looked at him and I was like, “I don’t love you anymore and I have to do more with my life, and you don’t want to do that.’
After breaking up, Bre revealed that they ‘never talked again.’
2016 – 2019: Johnny Manziel
In 2016, Bre met NFL star Johnny Manziel – with the pair getting engaged in 2017 and marrying the year after. Johnny was known as one of the biggest names in American football, with Bre saying earlier this year, ‘He is a mind blowing football player. He really is an amazing athlete.’
When they met, Johnny had already faced career troubles. Having been dropped from the Cleveland Browns and no longer playing in the NFL, Bre said on We Have To Talk that she didn’t initially realise that the athlete was struggling. ‘There’s a lot that he doesn’t necessarily have control over, I feel like. And when we got together, the partying and the self medicating, I thought [it] was just like a kid that got money and got the new life,’ she explained.

Footballer Johnny has since been open about his struggles with addiction, which included substance abuse and gambling (which once saw him embark on a $5 million spending spree.) Reflecting on his life in the spotlight, Johnny previously said, ‘When I got everything that I wanted, I think I was the most empty that I’ve ever felt inside.’
The couple’s marriage lasted just one year, with Bre realising she needed to leave the relationship ‘probably six months in.’ She told Paul C. Brunson, ‘He was going missing, not answering his phone […] I was like, this is too much.
‘It got to a point where he was blatantly disrespecting me, and out with women and doing the most. I was like, f*ck you. I am out.’
Although it wasn’t an easy split for Bre – ‘I didn’t speak to him for probably two years’ – the former couple are now on good terms. In fact, fans of the reality series might remember that Johnny even appeared on an episode of Selling Sunset during season eight, where his ex-wife helped him house hunt in LA.
2022: Nick Cannon
Nick and Bre’s relationship first came to light in 2022, when the comedian threw a beachfront baby shower for his pregnant girlfriend. The couple share one son together, named Legendary, who they welcomed in June 2022.

Allegedly meeting Nick for the first time over 10 years ago, the couple dated long before her marriage to Johnny. Rekindling her romance with Nick once she was divorced, Bre previously said, ‘Him and I have had our on and off for years. I’ve always come back.’
Of course, Bre and Nick’s relationship is far from conventional. Nick is open about practising non-monogamy. He’s welcomed 12 children with six different women: twins Moroccan and Monroe, 14, with Mariah Carey, sons Golden Sagon, eight, Rise Messiah, three, and daughter Powerful Queen, four, with Brittany Bell, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, three, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, two, with Abby De La Rosa, son Legendary Love, three, with Bre, and daughter Onyx Ice, three, with LaNisha Cole. Nick also shares two children with Alyssa Scott – a daughter named Halo Marie, two, as well as a son named Zen, who died at five months old in December 2021.
Although she chooses to keep her relationship off camera in Selling Sunset, Bre has given fans some insight into her non-monogamy. Insisting she doesn’t get jealous about Nick’s other partners, Bre once said, ‘I’m not threatened, because I know what my relationship is. I know that no matter what, you will never have with anyone else what you have with me.’
Talking about her son’s relationship with his many siblings, Bre also added, ‘They’re just young right now, so they don’t really interact as much. I just want to make sure I’m keeping the door open and that everyone involved is happy.’
Naturally, one of the biggest questions fans have found themselves asking is: can Bre also date other people? The answer is, yes. ‘I’m sure Nick wouldn’t like it [if I dated other people], but I can do what I want to do. I just don’t. I’m too tired,’ she explained on We Need To Talk.
‘It’s not that I won’t or I can’t, it’s that I choose not to [date other people right now]’ she continued. ‘I’m happy in our relationship, I’m happy with my family unit. I know people think I’m crazy, and maybe I am, but I’m fine!’
