Actor Kelsey Grammer has become a father for the eighth time, with the 70 year old welcoming a baby son with his wife Kayte Walsh.
The new arrival – who is named Christopher – marks the Frasier actor’s eighth foray into parenthood. Kelsey now has four biological children with Kayte, 46, and four with his former partners. The actor announced the news while promoting his new book, Karen: A Brother Remembers (which tells the story of his 18 year old younger sister Karen, who was murdered in 1975).
While he’s happily married now, the lore on Kelsey’s love life runs deep. With eight children and four marriages under his belt, here’s a complete relationship timeline of Kelsey Grammer’s rocky love life…
1982-1990: Doreen Alderman
Kelsey’s first marriage was to Broadway dancer Doreen Alderman. Although the couple were together for eight years, the pair have since said their relationship was over within the first year. They chose to stay together for the sake of their daughter Spencer, now 41, who was born in 1983.
Having followed in her father’s footsteps, Spencer is also an actor and director – best known for voicing Summer Smith in Rick and Morty, as well as starring alongside her father in the holiday movie 12 Days of Christmas Eve.
1991-1992: Barrie Buckner
Kelsey reportedly dated hair and makeup artist Barrie for around one year, with the pair sharing daughter Kandace ‘Greer’ Grammer, 33, together. Like her elder half-sister, Greer is also an actor – kickstarting her career in iCarly, before starring as Lissa Miller in the MTV series Awkward.
1992-1993: Leigh-Anne Csuhany
Kelsey’s second marriage was to former exotic dancer Leigh-Anne, whom he reportedly met in the bar that she worked in. Much of their relationship remained private, with Leigh-Anne choosing to live outside of the spotlight. Their marriage was later annulled in 1993.
1993-1996: Tammi Alexander

Following a string of short-lived relationships, Kelsey struck up a romance with Playboy model Tammi Alexander. The pair were together for almost three years, with Tammi later revealing how Kelsey proposed while they were in a limo. She was reported as saying, ‘I was shocked! I mean, we’d only been seeing each other for about three months, so it wasn’t very long.’
Years after splitting from Kelsey, Tammi released her book Manifesting Love. Speaking to RadarOnline about the book, she described it as being ‘about my path from dysfunctional co-dependent relationship, AKA Kelsey, to my current healthy marriage.’
1997-2010: Camille Grammer… Now Camille Meyer
Kelsey met Camille while on a blind date in 1996, with the pair getting married just one year later. They went on to welcome two children together via a surrogate: a daughter named Mason, 24, and a son named Jude, 21. Although she began her career as a model, Camille is perhaps best known for her stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The couple called it quits in 2010, with Kelsey proposing to his now-wife Kayte the same year – and their split was far from amicable. Documented on RHOBH, Camille accused Kelsey of cheating on her while he was living in New York. ‘Somebody’s in the apartment as Mrs. Grammer, it’s just not me,’ she said.
During a 2010 interview with People, the reality star said, ‘I feel completely abandoned. I feel dismissed. This all happened very quickly for me. We don’t even speak. He doesn’t want to.’
In the spirit of ex-wives supporting ex-wives, Camille found a shoulder to cry on in Kelsey’s ex Tammi. Saying she had ‘immense compassion for what Camille is going through,’ Tammi shared how she reached out to the RHOBH star to send her a copy of her book. ‘She says it’s been a great support for her.’
In the years since his split, Kelsey hasn’t held back when it comes to his ex wife. He branded Camille as ‘pathetic’ during a 2019 interview, saying, ‘Honestly, I don’t talk about her very much, because so much of her life is spent talking about me and I just think it’s sort of pathetic.’ He also told Piers Morgan that he believed he was the reason Camille landed her reality gig on The Real Housewives, saying ‘It was my way of saying, look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go.’
However, Kelsey has since admitted during an interview with Anderson Cooper that he regretted not telling Camille about having met another woman sooner. ‘I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment [on RHOBH]. It was just ill advised,’ he explained.
Camille has since moved on with David Meyer, marrying the lawyer in October 2018.
2011-Present: Kayte Walsh
Kelsey first met Kayte while she was working as a flight attendant back in 2009. Born in Hartlepool, she’s the daughter of former Bristol City footballer Alan Walsh.

After meeting Kelsey on a Virgin Atlantic Upper Class flight from LA to London, the British air hostess said, ‘I saw him and we looked at each other and smiled. It was as if he had this golden glow around him. He came and sat at the bar, and we chatted about music and England. I was blown away by how lovely he was.’ Kayte later admitted to Oprah Winfrey in 2012 that she wasn’t happy with how their romance began, saying ‘I’m not proud of the way we started out, because he was in a marriage.’
Kelsey’s relationship with the Kayte – who is 26 years his junior – raised eyebrows at the time, coming the same year as his divorce from Camille. The couple tied the knot on 10 February 2011, days after Kelsey’s divorce from Camille was formalised.
The pair welcomed their daughter Faith Evangeline just over a year later – although the pair were initially expecting twins, losing their son in a miscarriage. In 2014, they welcomed their son Gabriel, with their second son James born in 2016. With baby Christopher’s arrival in October 2025, the couple now share four children together.
