It was announced that the Black Sabbath singer died at the age of 76 on Tuesday, July 22, seeing tributes from across the music industry.

An image of Osbourne was projected towards the end of the set, after the band played ‘Live Forever’.

Lead singer Liam then said: “I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, rock ‘n’ roll star,” before playing the band’s song of the same name.

Oasis fans reacted positively in the stadium and on social media, as one posted to X (formerly known as Twitter): “Tribute to a once in a lifetime rockstar. We see things they’ll never see.”

Another shared: “They were absolutely f****** biblical. Really on the top of their game. Lovely tribute to the Prince of Darkness.”

A third said: “Classy! Both bands are insanely amazing. Glad to see Oasis recognized another legend”.

Oasis were continuing their Live ’25 Tour, having already played two gigs in Cardiff and five in Manchester prior to this.
