
The actress shared that she had undergone a C-section after choosing to keep her pregnancy private.
Writing on Instagram, Kirby said: “One emergency caesarean, many crying sessions, a few panic attacks, infinite love, one glorious little baby, and one whole year.”
The Call the Midwife went on to thank her husband and fellow actor, Robert Gilbert, sharing: “Thank you @r.g.bert , and thank you little body for all youâve endured and all youâve done.
“I wonât take you for granted again.”

The 36-year-old actress played Nurse Valerie Dyer on the BBC period drama for four seasons from 2017 until 2020.
