
Heather Peace, who plays the role of Eve Panesar-Unwin, was diagnosed with the condition in October and went public with the news earlier this year.
The 50-year-old actor, who is preparing to begin radiotherapy treatment, said: “Her breast cancer was a smaller, aggressive lump, so she had a lumpectomy and then radiotherapy.”
According to The Mirror, she added: “Of course, then I come along with my 12 cm lump, absolutely ginormous, and mastectomy, chemotherapy, just about to go into radiotherapy.
“She’s like ‘Even that you have to do bigger.’ It’s like ‘Hold my beer.'”

Previously, the BBC actor said that she put off going to the GP after noticing a change on her nipple because of a very busy work schedule.
According to The Sun, when she received her diagnosis, she said she felt “like a dead woman walking.”
In a post on social media shared last May, she showed herself at a wig fitting.
The EastEnders star told fans: “This video is an important part of my recent journey, which I wanted to share with you.
“It’s been about the #TeamEffort here @bbceastenders.
“I needed a wig fitting. I’ve been on quite a road for many months now.
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of October.
