
Rescue teams pulled the body from the water to the shore near to Pier Road Greenhithe today (July 2) just after 1pm.
Medics and the coastguard were at the scene and the man was pronounced dead.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been made aware.
A coroner is also being prepared for the corner.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with paramedics and the Coastguard.
“A man was brought to shore near Pier Road, Greenhithe and was confirmed deceased shortly afterwards.
“His next of kin is aware.”
