Man in his 20s taken to hospital after being stabbed in Woolwich ‘group attack’

Officers were called to reports that a man was attacked by a group of men in Plumstead Road at around 8.45pm on June 13.

London Ambulance Service crews also attended and found a man with multiple stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as non life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Around 8.45pm on Friday, 13 June, officers responded following reports that a man had been attacked by a group of men in Plumstead Road, Woolwich.

“A man in his 20s was treated at the scene for multiple stab injuries, and was taken to hospital.

“His condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening, and we await further updates on his condition.

“No arrests have been made, and officers are making urgent enquiries to locate the suspects.

“Anybody who witnessed the incident – or who has information – should contact the police on 101, quoting crime reference 8162/13JUN.”
