Boy, 14, among three arrested after double stabbing in Greenwich

The incident happened in Metcalfe Court near Bugsby’s Way just before 6.45pm yesterday (June 14).

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man who had been stabbed.

They were taken to hospital for treatment where their injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

A boy, a 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

The three suspects were taken to an south London police station where they remain in custody.

Superintendent Nick Jowett, who leads local policing in Greenwich, said: “This is a senseless and shocking act of violence and my thoughts are with the family, friends of those injured and the community at this incredibly difficult time. 

“Officers acted quickly and we have arrested one boy and two men who remain in custody as we work at pace to investigate.

“Local residents can expect to see an enhanced police presence over the coming days and anyone with any information or concerns are asked to contact police.”
