Inactive in tour events, Dublin’s O’Hare represents the Irish Davis Cup team and currently serves as the coach for Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski, overseeing two US Open wins, two Masters titles and two Tour Final victories with a previous partnership between Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram.
This year’s edition of the Tennis Black List awards, presented in association with Dante Talent, were held during the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club, London on the 11th of June, supported by the LTA, occurring concurrently with the WTA tournament, which made its return to West Kensington for the first time in half a century.
O’Hare said: “It’s been brilliant to be here at Queen’s at this ground-breaking event particularly with WTA tennis being back for the first time in 50 years.
“It’s very special to play a part in the event in my role with Dante Talent who are proud to be sponsoring the 2025 Tennis Black List Awards.
“It’s great to meet so many different faces and get to know so many different people. I’m travelling quite a bit with the guys that I coach so it’s good to spend an evening in a room with like-minded individuals who are passionate about the sport.
“To have that in common is great, Dante’s a fast growing company and we’re really excited about what we have and how we can use our network to collaborate with as many people in the sport as we can.”
Tennis Black List is the global celebration of Black and mixed black excellence across the game — spotlighting the unsung, the visionary and the next generation of changemakers.
Taking place in the run up to The Championships at Wimbledon, the Tennis Black List recognises the contributions of individuals and organisations from grassroots level up to the professional game in Britain and internationally.
It follows the example set by the successful and respected Football Black List, created by Leon Mann MBE and Rodney Hinds, and Rugby Black List which have demonstrated the power that celebrating black excellence can achieve in sport.
The event was an opportunity to inspire the next generation in the tennis community, with the commitment shown by the winners on and off the court, including the legendary Arthur Ashe, who was honoured with the Icon award for his tireless efforts in advocating for social justice, racial equality, and HIV/AIDS awareness.
Awards were handed out in ten categories across the evening at the ceremony, with several recipients present at The Queen’s Club.
