It warns of risk of hail, lightning strikes, and disruption to road and rail travel.

Showers are likely to become heavy and thundery at times, and may be accompanied by hail. Winds will also be gusty throughout the day.

The rain currently forecast overnight is expected to clear by early morning, but more unsettled weather will follow quickly behind.
