What is The Game about?
Former police detective Huw (Jason Watkins) is settling into retirement after a long career in the force.
But never far from his mind is the one case he failed to solve â The Ripton Stalker.
When his new neighbour, Patrick (Robson Green), moves in and utters the chilling phrase âcatch you later,â the sign-off the stalker used, Huw is set on a dangerous path.
What follows is a high-stakes game of psychological chess between the two neighbours.
Huw risks everything to unearth the truth.
But has he got the right man, or has his obsession pushed him to the brink?

Helped by his wife, Alice, Huw remains upbeat, throwing himself into retirement and playing golf with his neighbour Frank.
But Huwâs mind remains busy, searching online for the Ripton Stalker. And when Huw discovers Frank dead in the bath, the suburban street is sent into disarray.
Adamant that itâs not suicide, Huw asks Jenny for help. Something is wrong.
Moving into Frankâs old house is the handsome and enigmatic Patrick Harbottle, who introduces himself to the neighbours, Liz, Steve and Paul.
As the men go to the pub, Huw and Patrick seem to hit it off. But when Patrick says the three words âcatch you laterâ, a phrase that the Ripton Stalker always signed off with in his letters, Huw is sent spiralling. Is Patrick the Ripton Stalker?
Huwâs suspicion mounts as he pleads with Jenny to see Frankâs post-mortem report.
Huw tries to get to know Patrick and soon feels on edge.
Returning home, Huw is shocked to find Patrick with Alice in his home.
Theyâre invited to a housewarming party. That night, Huw takes the opportunity to snoop around.
Later, Huw still canât shake his feelings. He looks out the window and sees Patrick staring back.

âNot only did Huw not solve the case, but The Ripton Stalker is still out there somewhere, and this vulnerable woman is left with these terrible emotional wounds.
