Dana White reveals KSI and Logan Paul plan for Conor McGregor as UFC return ‘confirmed’

Dana White has stated that Conor McGregor will not be fighting Logan Paul or KSI in a boxing match, expressing his desire for McGregor to return to the UFC by late 2025. McGregor, 36, has not competed since suffering a leg injury in a first-round loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Recently, the former two-weight UFC champion mentioned discussions with the Ambani family about a boxing exhibition against Logan Paul in India. However, reports surfaced earlier this week suggesting that the fight with Paul might not happen as he wants to focus on his WWE career. In response, KSI offered to step in and face McGregor instead. Despite this, White dismissed the idea of McGregor fighting either social media star and reiterated his hope for McGregor’s return to MMA this year. On the Pardon My Take podcast, White confirmed that McGregor will “eventually” come back to the UFC, adding, “No [he will not fight Paul].” No, he will not fight KSI. It is hoped that Conor will return to the UFC this fall. Since winning against Eddie Alvarez in 2016 and becoming the first fighter to hold two UFC titles at the same time, McGregor has only fought four times in the organization. He was set to come back at UFC 303 in June to fight Michael Chandler but had to withdraw due to a toe injury that he sustained just weeks prior. McGregor still has two fights left on his UFC contract.
