Leny Yoro is believed to be close to returning after fracturing his metatarsal during the pre-season, and as a result, he has not yet made his competitive debut for United. Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Harry Maguire could all return for Amorim’s inaugural match against Ipswich Town on November 24. Amorim is anticipated to use the 3-4-3 formation that he predominantly employed during his tenure at Sporting CP. The last time United utilized a back-three at Old Trafford was in 2021. Therefore, the United squad will need to adapt to a completely new system, and ideally, Amorim will have all his key players fit. However, the circumstances at United have not been ideal for a while, and injuries are a common challenge in football. However, the recent injury sustained by Lisandro Martinez raises some concerns.
