Kobbie Mainoo shows true colours on Ruben Amorim after Man United arrival

Ruben Amorim, the newly appointed head coach of Manchester United, has been meeting with some of his players for the first time since arriving in England earlier this week. He took over the position from Erik ten Hag at the beginning of the month and officially began his duties this week. After traveling from Portugal shortly after Sporting CP’s 4-2 victory against Braga on Sunday, Amorim met with the United players who were not on international duty and were present to continue their rehabilitation from recent injuries. United shared several photos on social media of Amorim talking with the players. Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, and Toby Collyer were all featured in the album. Less than an hour after the photos were uploaded to Instagram, Mainoo shared the post on his own story. In one image, the midfielder is talking to Amorim before embracing the United manager. Mainoo is presently sidelined due to injury, having missed the last seven matches because of a muscle issue. He hasn’t played since the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa in October, but he is in line to rejoin the squad for next weekend’s match against Ipswich Town. Players not on international duty were at Carrington on Monday to meet their new manager before taking the rest of the week off. Efforts to improve the training pitches will intensify next week. According to the Portuguese news source O Jogo, Amorim was at Old Trafford on Tuesday for a photo shoot with the club’s media team and conducted interviews with MUTV for the first time.
