Jadon Sancho sparks Marco Reus Champions League demand after huge announcement

Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho has been told to help Borussia Dortmund win the Champions League this season for club legend Marco Reus.. The midfielder announced on Saturday that he will leave the club at the end of the season after 12 years. He joined from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2012, having spent some of his youth career with Dortmund.. Reus has played a total of 425 times for the club scoring 169 goals. He will be available as a free agent in the summer, the Daily Mail reported back in January that the player’s agent was in attendance at Old Trafford for the Manchester Derby, which may lead to speculation over a possible move to United.. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s previous comments on transfers point to a strategy where the club target younger players with a more long-term vision in mind. There is expected to be speculation over where Reus will end up at the end of the summer, but first, his concentration will be on finishing the season in the best way possible with Dortmund.. Responding to the 34-year-old’s video on Instagram announcing his exit, Sancho was among those to send a message to his teammate. “A pleasure and so grateful to be apart of your journey captain, brother Marco,” he wrote.. That message prompted a response from Dortmund fans who have urged Sancho to help Dortmund to the Champions League final at Wembley and ‘win it for Marco’. The German side are back in Champions League semi-final action on Tuesday night as they take a 1-0 lead over Paris Saint Germain into the second leg at the Parc des Princes.. Should they get through the tie, then Sancho, Reus, and their Dortmund teammates will take on either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the final at Wembley. The other semi-final is locked at 2-2 after the first leg with the second leg played at the Bernabeu.. Try MUFC Pro NOW for free.
