However, he has not returned to Port Vale’s squads and according to sources, he could be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Port Vale manager Darren Moore stated that Gore’s injury is a persistent issue. We are unsure if he will return for any portion of the season, as his current condition does not look promising. Gore had hoped to use his time at Port Vale to further his development, but injuries have limited him to just 52 minutes of playing time. Gore made his senior debut for United earlier in the season and was given a new contract last summer after joining the academy as a teenager. Although he originally played as a forward, Gore now operates in a deeper midfield role. Gore participated in 26 academy matches last season and 28 in the current season. The 19-year-old played a key role in the team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2021/22, alongside Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
