Phil Foden has sent an indirect message to Manchester City’s Premier League title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool following the FA Cup win over Newcastle. A first-half brace from Bernardo Silva at Etihad Stadium was enough for Man City to secure a spot in the semi-finals.. Following yet another victory, Man City are now unbeaten in their last 22 games with defeat to Aston Villa back in December the last time they were unable to secure a positive result. Foden’s form has been key in Pep Guardiola’s side winning 19 times in that run with the England international picking up 18 goals and ten assists during the 2023/24 campaign.. We were always talking about [winning more trophies]. The hunger’s still there. We’ll keep going.. “It’s one of the best squads I’ve ever seen. At this stage of the season we’re going to need everyone. I’m really happy with it. I’m just playing with a smile on my face and hopefully I’ll continue to do that.”
