City had a chance to make it 2-0 just before half time when a late challenge from Bruno Guimaraes brought down Erling Haaland in the box but the striker’s penalty was poor, firing it straight at the ‘keeper who didn’t move. The second half played out the same as the first with City seeing all of the ball, and with 15 minutes to go, Haaland made up for his earlier miss by doubling the lead.. The Norwegian had drifted away from his marker into space, and after one touch out of his feet, he fired into the bottom corner to confirm City’s spot in the FA Cup semi-final..
