But, all attention now turns to the FA Cup, where City host an out-of-form Newcastle side.. City have beaten Newcastle twice in the Premier League this season, but the Magpies managed to defeat Guardiola’s side in the early stages of the Carabao Cup. City beat Luton Town 6-2 to set up the quarter-final clash, and the winners will make a trip to Wembley for the semi-finals in April.. So, will the Blues continue their unbeaten start to 2024? We simulated Man City vs Newcastle to get a score prediction. To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated both squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We predict that City could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Ortega; Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake; Rodri, Foden, Kovacic; Bernardo, Haaland, Doku.. City had a chance to make it 2-0 just before half time when a late challenge from Bruno Guimaraes brought down Erling Haaland in the box but the striker’s penalty was poor, firing it straight at the ‘keeper who didn’t move. The second half played out the same as the first with City seeing all of the ball, and with 15 minutes to go, Haaland made up for his earlier miss by doubling the lead.. The Norwegian had drifted away from his marker into space, and after one touch out of his feet, he fired into the bottom corner to confirm City’s spot in the FA Cup semi-final..
