Why Graeme Souness is set for TV clash with Roy Keane in Man Utd vs Liverpool rivalry: ‘We’ll go again’

Graeme Souness, the ex-Sky Sports commentator, is coming back to TV commentary and will be giving his insights on Liverpool’s FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United on Sunday. Souness had scaled back his TV responsibilities last season after a 15-year tenure with the network. Since that time, he has primarily been providing his expert opinions on the radio. At the age of 70, Souness continues to be highly regarded at Anfield for his success as both a player and a coach. The Mail reports that he is anticipated to be part of the ITV broadcast team for the upcoming major match at Old Trafford this weekend, where he will be working alongside his former Sky Sports coworker, Roy Keane. Liverpool is currently in the lead in the Premier League and has already secured victory in the Carabao Cup for this season. Jurgen Klopp has the opportunity to win all three domestic trophies in his final season if he beats United, despite stepping down in the summer. Souness had mentioned last summer that his departure from Sky was a mutual decision, and he was willing to continue for another year. According to the Mirror, he clarified that he had no intention of retiring and was willing to consider additional opportunities. Souness expressed a desire to remain for another year, as he told The Guardian. “They suggested ending the day, explained their reasons, and I agreed without any complaints about Sky.” Souness will be back working with his ex-Sky Sports co-worker, Roy Keane (Image: Getty Images).
