Erik ten Hag undroppable could be set for Man Utd position change vs Liverpool

Despite facing numerous injuries, Manchester United has relied heavily on Diogo Dalot this season. The Portuguese player has appeared in all but two of the team’s 39 matches across all competitions, missing out on just one matchday squad. This was caused by a red card he got late in the game against Liverpool in December, which ended in a draw. Aside from the loss to West Ham after the Liverpool game, Dalot has consistently been included in the lineup either as a starter or as a substitute. Although he has been a substitute for most games, he has only not played once, which was during the win over Wolves in August at Old Trafford. More information: Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s plans for Manchester United could be determined in just 15 crucial days. More observations from United training include the absence of two important players. Dalot lost the competition for the right-back position to Wan-Bissaka before the Black Country outfit’s match due to his performance in pre-season. The pair worked hard during the latter part of the previous season and pre-season to earn the position of favored right-back under Ten Hag. After Wan-Bissaka initially started the season, Dalot quickly regained his position as the first choice right-back. The player who used to be on loan for AC Milan has been quietly impressive for United this season, consistently reliable without much attention from non-dedicated fans. After Wan-Bissaka’s injury in January, Dalot has excelled in the right-back position with consistently strong performances. Therefore, he has established himself as the starting right-back, leading United to consider selling Wan-Bissaka in order to bring in a new player for that position. Wan-Bissaka has not played in the last nine games for United, allowing Dalot to consistently play at right-back.
