The controversy stems from an interview Goldbridge did with Rasmus Hojlund at Old Trafford earlier this season. Hojlund has shown better form recently but his progress was halted by an injury. However, there have been recent discussions surrounding an interview he gave to The United Stand and how it was received by certain members of the United team. United may have only five players guaranteed to start next season. The date is the fifth of February. The interview with Hojlund was first aired by The United Stand in the beginning of February. The interview, which lasted 13 minutes, centered on his experiences thus far, his goal scored against Tottenham Hotspur, and his ambitions for the future. It was considered unexpected at the time that Manchester United had granted permission for the interview to be conducted by a fan channel on March 10th. Andy Mitten from United We Stand magazine reported that Hojlund was reprimanded by certain team members for giving an interview to Goldbridge.
