Cole Palmer has disclosed the reason for his departure from Manchester City in favor of joining Chelsea. The 21-year-old midfielder made the move from the Etihad Stadium to Stamford Bridge in the last moments of the summer transfer window, even though he had been performing well for Pep Guardiola’s team. Palmer was instrumental for City in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup, scoring goals in each match. Despite his impressive displays, including one that helped his childhood team win a trophy, he was not included in the starting lineup for the first game of the Premier League season. Instead, he only saw 10 minutes of playing time as a substitute against Burnley. After being on the bench for two matches with City, Palmer made the decision to join Chelsea in order to get more playing time, and he hasn’t regretted it.
